oh my Lord, what a great soundtrack

Have never seen the movie, guess it's 'bout time I rented it, but I've had the soundtrack for over 10 years now. Incredible.

1. Mind Full Of Worry - Aquanettas
2. Only Shallow - My Bloody Valentine
3. Water - P.J. Harvey
4. Japanese To English - Red House Painters
5. Shaker - Yo La Tango
6. Tom Boy - Bettie Serveert
7. Girls! Girls! Girls! - Liz Phair
8. Then Comes Dudley - The Jesus Lizard
9. Here - Pavement

plus a great, moody score of the rest of the album.

Worth picking up.

I couldn't agree more. Pavement, P.J. Harvey, My Bloody Valentine, Yo Le Tango, Jesus Lizard, Red House Painters, how can you go wrong? Oh wait, you can't. Great film too, Hal is amazing.

I heard the MBV, Pavement, and Jesus Lizard songs (the last of which was used to perfection) but I didn't hear the Yo La Tengo or Red House Painters songs, and I'm not familiar with the rest. I'm pretty sure those two aren't in the movie. oh well

I hope this film isn't that famous nowadays though...don't want people to discover MBV

Watch out--all those "Lost In Translation" fans are coming to ruin your favourite band!

*beep* that's true

I bought a thrift store today for less than as part of a "3 for $10" deal. Never heard of the film before but this soundtrack is an 90s indie fan's wet dream. My Bloody Valentine, Pavement and Red House Painters were enough for me to get it but Yo La Tengo and Liz Phair were also bonuses. Hopefully you can do what I did and get it for next to nothing.

I definitely recognized Phair's voice and Here in the film, I'm not really too familar with the rest of those. I thought one of those songs was by Sonic Youth but I guess not.
