I saw a segment on YouTube that this movie is actually based of famed transsexual, Carlotta's act. Her, and the rest of her 'girls,' were so pretty unlike the actors in this movie.

They were eclipsed in lack of attractiveness only by Wesley Snipes in To Wong Foo.
