the wages

Just *who* does Abraham think he talked to on Mt.Sinai, in the Wilderness of Sin?

chaizzilla,

Well, here's a couple of things that you need to know:
1. Abraham never went to Mt. Sinai. Abraham did speak with God, however, in various locations at various times.
2. Moses spoke with God on Mt. Sinai (and in other places), which is either on the Sinai Peninsula or the Arabian Peninsula (the issue is still debated). Wherever it is, the Wilderness of Sin is located nearby, but the Mountain in question is not located in the Wilderness of Sin.
If you are somehow attempting to suggest a connection with the name "Sin" as in the Wilderness of Sin and the English word "sin" which means feelings, thoughts, words, and actions contrary to what God desires, you're way off the mark (someone who knows the literal meanings of the Hebrew words that are often rendered as "sin" should get that).
"Sin" in that sense is - as I said - an English word, not a Hebrew word. The Hebrew words that usually get translated as "sin" are "aveira" and "ched" I believe.
"Sin" was the name of a moon god worshiped in various places throughout the Near & Middle East, and this particular wilderness was considered to belong to him.
So, what was the point of the subject line "the wages"?
