Kyle was such a selfish, loudmouth idiot.

I hope they weren't trying to make Kyle out to be a great guy when this movie was made-he disrespected EVERYONE. His mother, the coach, his teammates, and it took Birdie killing Flip and Leon whipping his ass in a quick one on one game to finally grow up.
Sorry, I couldn't believe the way he acted towards his mother. And how about when Leon walked off from Kyle and his mother in the locker room. His mother took Kyle's side and whined about, "Oh, Kyle was confused and you walked off on him."
Maybe he shouldn't have walked off on them but maybe Leon had had enough of Kyle's bullsh**. Maybe he felt Kyle couldn't be helped and didn't WANT any help, especially Leon's.

He takes the most ill-advised shots and blames it on a correct no-call.

He then misses like half a dozen jumpers in practice and then makes one and turns around to Shep like he did something great.

Like making 1 jumper practicing in an empty gym is some amazing accomplishment lol
