Kick Back
Knuckle Up?

Because in knuckle up they look way younger than in kick back, but its saying kick back came out before knuckle up....weird

I think you have it right, awhile after the original 3 they made one with hulk hogan that was so bad i almost cried. I dont even remember what it was called. The first two are by far the best though.

it's :

3 ninjas (1992)
3 ninjas KNUCKLE UP
3 ninjas KICK BACK

'coz there are the same actors in knuckle up and the first one... they changed in Kick Back. And Max elliott Slade was 15 in kick back.

i thought that it was 2 ninjas then kick back then knuckle up cos of the times they cum out sophster

The order when they filmed is :

3 ninjas (1992)
3 ninjas KNUCKLE UP
3 ninjas KICK BACK

but I don't know why, they said that kick back is before knuckle up... But Max Elliott slade went to Japan in 1995. And he looks older in kick back soooo knuckle up is before....

In order of filming,

1. 3 Ninjas
2. 3 Ninjas: Knuckle Up
4. 3 Ninjas: Kick Back

This is the order they were filmed. I assume that Knuckle up was filmed, then had its release scrapped after the studio saw what a horrid film it was. A few years passed, and they decided to film Kick Back. With a higher production budget, they were able to get a few famous faces, but were unable to book the entire original cast. (The kids probably had moved on and didn't look back, except Slade). Kick Back had little success but still showed a market for little kids retardedly beating up adults, so they released Knuckle Up as the third installment.

i read on new york times .com or some where that knuckle up was filmed in 1993 and then when they realized how s hity it was they shelved it and then decided to film another, much better and less cheap sequel. by that time chad power and micheal treanor did not want to film another. so max elliot slade returned( thats why he looks older in this one than in knuckle up) and 2 lookalikes and they played the 3 ninjas in kick back. then, a year after kick back flopped, knukle up was unshelved and released, made like 100,000 dollars and was practically strait-to-video.

they made a tv-movie more or less. Perhaps they could have released it as a straight to video but perhaps thought that it would kill the franchise.

I remember reading somewhere years ago that Knuckle Up had issues with the rating system(it is the only one rated pg-13) and they had to re-shoot some of the scenes. It's obvious that they are different ages in some of the scenes that involve them fighting the biker gang in the little ghost town.
