How did the final two episodes end? (SPOILERS)

I've recently taped and watched the full 5 series of Wycliffe on Austar. Unfortunately, the programmers changed the timing slightly at the end and consequently, my preset taping caused me to miss the last 5 minutes approximately of the last two episodes. Can anyone fill me in on how they concluded, please?

In the second-last episode, "Scope", my tape cut out just as Charlie Wycliffe arrived to question Jane Trier, following Joe Duggan's admissions regarding their affair, her access to his gun and her close relationship with the guy on the yacht.

In the last episdoe, "Land's End", Wycliffe is on the beach at Land's End with Selby, Susan Brookes/Lynne Carney and the henchmen. Selby has just shot Susan and Wycliffe has been knocked unconscious with a blow. The cavalry, alerted by Lane, have departed Penzance station in pursuit of Wycliffe and Selby.

I suspect I've only missed 3 or 4 minutes in each case, but I'd be grateful if someone could tell me how the episodes ended. Thanks

1/ Scope :
W tells her that Duggan's been arrested. W leaves. Her phone's being monitored as W suspects that she didn't do it alone.
She calls someone up, a man, and asks him to meet her by the seaside at Frenchman's Bay.
W and his team are waiting of course. The man arrives and it's, IT'S... OMG IT'S UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!!

2/ Land's End :
The police arrive and they find W and Susan lying on the beach. It looks as though W shot Susan of course. The annoying DCC Roth falls for it, as could be predicted. Naturally, his team speaks up for him, including the lovely Lucy. As W is being led away anyway, he quickly tells Lucy that Selby probably's still around since criminal's usually stick to their patterns.
Lucy looks around and she finds Selby with his little doggy. It comes to a fight and before he can say "what a rather disappointing ending for the last episode of this wonderful series" he's being jumped upon from behind by DC Hall. Wycliffe appears and his final words are : "this is as far as it goes, Selby : it's, IT'S ...". CAN YOU GUESS WHAT HIS VERY FINAL WORDS WERE ??? It's WHAT ?

OMG, I finished Land's End last night and I'm so sad that the series is over, but happy that it ended well, thank goodness. I was almost holding my breath that something GOOD would happen and end the series well. Whew!!!!!

I know this a really late response but I'm confused about the end. I just watched it and don't understand how Wycliffe is in the car going to the hospital one minute and then the next he appears behind Lucy on the beach. And what about all the stuff with the police chief constable, or whatever her title was. I expected to see something about her being so wrong about Wycliffe. Oh well.
