I liked it

I remember being disappointed that they couldn't get the actors that played Gary and Wyatt and Chet in the movie (Bill Paxton was the best Chet by far), but watching Vanessa Angel was a treat. The stories and writing were up to date and funny at times. I remember they even did a spoof on Fabio and called the guy Magnifico.

Yeah, this really was a great show. One of the rare occasions where a movie spawned a successful TV series...yeah it would have been great to have Anthony Michael Hall, the guy who played Wyatt and Chet to be in the show but the actors who play them are just as good and look almost the same. Vanessa Angel is damn hot in this show too.

Ladies! Ladies! there's enough Jimmy D for both of you!

Vanessa Angel: a beautiful name for a beautiful lady.

I'm a big fan of the movie myself and actually prefer it over the TV series, but what few episodes I did catch in the '90s, I was genuinely interested in. Even more, Vanessa Angel made it really watchable.

If I could, I would switch the roles of Lisa. Kelly LeBrock is great, and I definitely laughed at that "tossing off" line, but she looked like your typical '80s babe.

Vanessa seemed like what a few nerds would dream of if created by a computer.

I agree

They tried to get Kelly LeBrock to reprise her role as Lisa from the original Weird Science, but she turned down the role. That is why Vanessa Angel was offered to play Lisa in the TV show. Anthony Michael Hall became better built as he grew older because if you looked at him on the show The Dead Zone on USA Network he looked pretty buff compared to during the 80's when he appeared on Weird Science. Yes it would have been nice to see the original cast, but this was made for TV though.
