How many season was this series?

Sorry if this has been mentioned or asked already, but I am looking at buying the DVD set, Immaculate Collection and I read from a buyer that it only contains 3 seasons plus the Christmas special. I looked around and saw a mention of season 5. So was it 3 seasons or 5 seasons long?
