mmine too and I had this on my mind all day as I wish we saw that, and I bet Ryan would confront him yelling we are going to have you put away and then ZIktor would yell back in a serious voice

would Ryan and them be surprised at this discovery?

Not much. Other than personal confrontations, nothing could really come of it. Ziktor already has the mayor in his pocket and it's not like they can prove he's a mutant from another dimension to the authorities.
