I'm a Yank and enjoying this series on Acorn TV. I'm puzzled by Phil Harding's accent. It sounds different from any other English accent I've heard. Can anyone tell me what part of England he's from? Thanks.

Whiltshire, probably Swindon.

What's interesting about it is his "Rs". He pronounces his Rs almost like how Americans do.
