Seems like this was actually made for Jesse Ventura
The whole show seems geared toward his reputation and history. Anybody know the history of how this show was developed?

I dunno. Hulk Hogan had retired from Wrestling at the time for good. He was off to be a Hollywood star. MGM/DISNEY probably wanted to take a chance on him starring in his own show, and they asked him what he would like to do? He probably said Knight Rider and Baywatch combined.
