[sniff!] I *really* miss the U.S. intro!
A couple of weeks ago, I bought the Boxed Set from Best Buy.com!
I knew that there would be changes, but I didn't expect the original intro, to Tekkaman Blade, to replace the U.S. version! (I held out hope that the U.S. intro would be on one of the 6 discs, and yet, I was disappointed!)
Sometime ago, someone posted a link to an [unofficial] website, which had the audio from the U.S. intro! I've transcribed the narration, and I'm posting it for the U.S. fans who barely remember it (such as, myself!)
Don't get me wrong, I thought the original intro was good, but personally, I feel that the U.S. intro gives it more of an "action-oriented" feel! (Like many other posters here, I, too watched it on UPN!)
Perhaps, one day, they'll release TEKNOMAN with the U.S. intro/ending!
In the meantime, however (for those who might not know about it), there is an EasterEgg
[Located on TEKNOMAN: Collection One, Discs 1 & 2]
Using your DVD player's remote, you can either...
- 1 Type in (TITLE #) 4, to access the EasterEgg, OR...
- 2 Click on Scene Access -> Previous -> Final Chapter (Episode 7) -> Skip >>| [x3]
If you follow the instructions, you will hear the TEKNOMAN (U.S.) Ending!
Using your DVD player's remote, press ANY ARROW Key, until you see the Emerald TEKNO-Crystal!
(Click-on the TEKNO-Crystal, to access the EasterEgg!)

{At the end of the 21st Century, the Earth was invaded by a horde of mutant Spider-Crabs... under the control of the Venomoid Warlord, Darkon!}
Darkon: When I descend upon the Earth, darkness will unfurl its banner across yet another region of the cosmos!
{Even the heroic men and women of the Space Knights cannot defend the Earth without the help of a mysterious young man, named "Slade", who has the ability to transform into the superhero, known as TEKNOMAN!}
[sound fx: "Slade" enters TEKNOBOT interlock chamber]
[sound fx: "Slade" emerges from TEKNOBOT - transformed into TEKNOMAN]
[sound fx: TEKNOMAN - BATTLE MODE!]
[sound fx: TEKNOMAN (BM) defeating Spider-Crabs!]
