Did anyone read the books?

And if so, which ones were your favorites?

A few of my favs below. Im probably leaving out loads of other favs but these are the ones that popped in to my mind first.

1) The Evil Twin series: My list isnt labled in order of favourites BUT the evil Twin series without a doubt captured my imagination the most out of all the Sweet Valley series and are my favourites. Even the build up to it was great. The whole thing where Jessica and Elizabeth both ran for prom queen and Jessica spiked Elizabeth's drink which caused the car accident/death which drove a huge wedge between them. Then Margo and her twin Nora trying to murder and take the place of Liz and Jess. Too insane and far fetched for words but a massive page turner! I loved Margo and Nora. If Fracine Pascal does start writing more Sweet Valley book then I hope she brings Nora back for more blood soaked revenge lol.

2) Dear Sister: Elizabeth goes in to a coma following a bike accident and when she wakes up she turns into a Jessica clone only even sexier. She dumps Todd, gets all sexy and starts flirting with the other boys like nobody's business. We all love Liz but damn it was fun having her out bitch and out sexy Jessica! Always fun to see a good girl go bad.

3) Soap Star: Liz and Jess win parts in a soap opera but Jess ends up playing the good twin while Liz ends up playing the selfish, sexy twin. Cant really remember why I like this one so much but I remember really enjoying it. Especially the bit where Jess tricks Liz in to going to the audition by telling her that they are being interviewed for a documentry about twins. Its only when they are sat in the audition room which tons of other sets of twins that Liz realises she has been tricked. Then she has a total bitch fit and humiliates Jess infront of everyone lol.

4) Miss Teen Sweet Valley: From what I remember Liz and Jess clash over Jess wanting to become Miss Teen Sweet Valley. But in the end Liz actually helps Jessica win by passing herself off as Jessica when Jessica ends up missing the last half of the competition. Again I think I liked it because I always liked storylines where goody-goody Liz would have to pass herself off as sexy, flirty Jessica.

5) The New Jessica: Jessica decides to change her whole appearance and become more "sophisticated." She colors her hair a deep black, begins acting very different, and tries to pursue a modeling career. Liz is very hurt and scared that she is going to lose her best friend. I found this one interesting because of Liz's huge upsett reaction to no longer looking like twins anymore. Where as Jessica loved finally being seen as an individual.

6) A Date With a Werewolf/Beware the Wolfman: Liz and Jess travel to London and get involved with a werewolf mystery lol. Crazy couple of books but I enjoyed them.

7) Jessica Quits the Squad/The Pom-Pom Wars/"V" For Victory: Jess has a new rival called Heather Mallone who basicly steals the cheerleading squad from her. So jess forms a new squad. I really enjoyed having Jess meet her match in Heather Mallone. But then obviously beat her ass in the end.

8) Murder In Paradise: Alice Wakefield wins a trip to a luxurious spa run by a former college classmate who desires Alice's face. Lol do I have to say anymore? A woman who wants to steal Alice Wakefields actual face lol?! Its absoluley insane and hilarious..........and I freakin love it!

9) The Wakefields of Sweet Valley: I loved this one. Going back in time and hearing wild, romantic and tragic storys about Liz and Jess's ancestors. I especially loved the one set in the 20's where the ancestors were twins who fell out with eachother and it all ends in tragedy. Im ashamed to say I actually shed a tear over that story lol.

10) Don't Go Home With John: Lila is almost date raped by John Pfeifer; and he begins his scheme to torment her. I liked this one because it was sensitively handled and it was interesting to see the usually fearless and confident Lila show her softer side and then later her brave side. I liked it when the books would suddenly jump from the usual teen drama to dealing with a darker and more serious subject matter that made you stop and think "how would I handle a situation like that?" or "how would I react if something that awfull happend to someone I knew?".

I also enjoyed Robin's storyline thoughout the books where she lost weight to become one of the popular cheerleaders. And then later in the book series, despite now being gorgeous she couldnt stop seeing herself as fat and she developed a full blown eating disorder. I thought that it was delt with quite well.

I will probably think of others lol. Im home sick from work and have nothing to do lol.

I read Sweet Valley Kids and Sweet Valley Twins too. I loved the Sweet Valley Twins book The Christmas Ghost which was a super chiller and my favorite one from Sweet Valley Twins was First Place.
My favorite Sweet Valley High books were Slam Book Fever, the Super Star Book Lila's Story and the Super Edition book Malibu Summer. :)

The Evil Twin series was definitely my favorite. The build up was really intense, and it scared the *beep* out of me when I was a kid.

My friend and I love the Sweet Valley books so much that we made a website dedicated to reading the books again and reviewing them with snarky commentary.

If you liked reading the series, you should check it out! It's crazy how different the books seem now that I'm an adult. :)

I also loved the Evil Twin series- it was so good, I couldn't put the book down! I also loved the super thriller book Double Jeopardy and Killer on Board. I also liked The Perfect Girl in which Elizabeth's friend Robyn becomes anorexic in order to please a guy. Great stuff...!

Read a few of them including entire Evil Twin. Found it hard to believe they both stayed virgins throughout high school!
