Episode 'Kilo Is Coming to Town' is actually the final episode

From what I've read, the people behind the localization were being told that the series was getting cancelled and threw together the final fight from the Japanese Gridman series for a big finale. But then they received word that the series wasn't being cancelled and had to throw in a copout which undid everything at the end. I still consider it the final episode. When you look at the epic battle between Servo and Kilokahn, you know that is the final conflict.

btw, anyone ever notice that Kilokahn's helmet resembled Shredder's from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but that the one he wore to the fight resembled the one worn by Super Shredder? I wonder if that was intentional or not. I could just be that they're different styles of Japanese helmets, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was an influence on the character.
