How were the celebrity guests handled?

I heard somewhere that they edited the interviews and just showed selected parts. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I heard a lot of celebrities were really annoyed.

I saw Bill Mumy at a convention in 1998 and he said that they basically throw all these random questions at you that had nothing to do with what Space Ghost asked, and then about a year later it would air. But he did seem to enjoy the experience I seem to recall.
