I mean she was like 13, when they did the first season, right? The last episode of the first season does not look like the way she is in Season 2. In Season 2, I was like, WOW! I didn't recognize her at first, it looked as if she's grown taller, voice changed, and a couple of her features has changed too, and she just turned 14, at the filming of it! Same thing with ray too, I didn't know that was him at first either.
shareThat's what made the show all the better. They didn't make excuses for characters aging in appearence. Larisa ages in real life, so "Alex" ages in TV life.
sharewell if you look at the episode list, you'll see that the last episode of season 1 aired in Feb of 95 which means it was probably shot in Nov or Dec of 94 and the start of season 2 aired in Oct of 95 (shot in July or Aug of 95) so there was almost a year between episodes and when your a teen a year is a whole lot of growing going on.
shareI just noticed watching the episodes that both of them seemed like they were sort of late bloomers, especially Alex...both were over 13 during the first season but seemed a bit behind in height/voice than most 13 year old boys and girls would be...the fact there was probably over a year between the start of each season probably made it seem worse once season 2 started.
