DVD Region 2 Playability

The DVD that is posted there. It is a region 2. I am not sure right now if my player does play that region. I am from Canada and am just wondering if most Sony DVD players play Region 2 DVDs. If anyone can let me know whenever they get a chance, it would be appreciated, thank you!

Canada is region 1 and Sony is usually very protected against other region viewings.
Try looking up codes on the internet for your type taht will make it region free, usually a menu is involved so you'll know whether it works.
