I mean there was only one season and 13 episodes....why was it cancelled?

Since it was only 13 episodes i dont think it would be 2 much of a a struggle for Nickelodeon to release the show on DVD. dont you think?

I heard the reason that the show was cancelled was because Jim Coleman, who played Alfie and Dee Dee's dad, got into a big fight with the director and quit the show. They couldn't get a replacement for him so they cancelled the show. I read this on a Nickelodeon message board several years ago, so I don't know if it's true or not.

OMG! I'd absolutely loved this show! Goodness, I appreciate the EARLIER

Nickalodeon shows. It's wack now. Just a bunch of wack cartoons! Does anyone

remember the song "Goo Punch"? lol...I loved it! Would you agree?

Actually for many years and even to this day many people thought that My Brother and Me was canceled my Nickelodeon. Although, it turns out that Ralph Woolfolk IV (the cute boy that played Derek "Dee Dee" Parker) says other wise. According to an interview he did a few years back the show was canceled due to disagreements between the producers and creators of the show, a second season was planned but the two parties had different visions for the show that caused a major fallout. Reruns continued to air on the network for several years after the cancellation.Ralph had got the news that he wouldn't be returning to work during Christmas break :-(. I know that had to be very hard on his part. I would love to see them do a reunion show. It saddens me that the mom Karen Fraction is no longer with us. I just wish the show would have lasted longer.

Yup, Nickelodeon was just an innocent bystander in the whole affair.
