GAH! I'm POSITIVE this episode exists!!!

So I remember watching a very special Magic School Bus episode on my local PBS station...special because at the very end, we got a behind the scenes look at the show. They explained how the animation was done in South Korea, Lily Tomlin's lines were recorded in the US, and the kids did their voice acting in Canada. I was riveted because it turns out the "kids" were actually teenagers with some of them resembling their cartoon characters. The voice behind Dorothy Ann for one, I think, looked sort of like the cartoon DA.

I think this was part of a Christmas special. I've been Googling like mad, trying to find the episode title or the episode itself. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? ? ?

It's SO weird that you mention this, because I was just thinking about it yesterday! And yes, I do remember this episode too. I have no idea which episode it was, but they did do a behind the scenes where they interviewed some of the actors. And some of the actors did actually look like their characters! Keesha looked the same in real life and so did Dorothy Anne. So you're not making it up, don't worry. They also showed them recording some voice overs, like they had them all in their circle recording and they all went WHOAAAAAA! because they were being shrunk.

Ohmgosh, yes! Now I remember the "whoaaaaa!" part too!

What a relief that someone knows what I'm talking about. If only we knew what episode it was...

It was at the end of "Holiday Special", but I haven't found that behind the scenes bit yet. :(

And the search continues...

I remember that, too! But for some reason, I'm connecting it with the Halloween episode where they got stuck in the music museum. I do remember they were all wearing shirts like their characters, though.

This is a pretty old post, but weirdly enough I watched this episode today.
