Man, this show is terrible.

My daughter has discovered this on Netflix and now I'm being tortured by it. One episode had the kids programming the school computer to provide the daily announcements by the school speaker (in a perfectly human-sounding voice, mind you), raise the school flag and make coffee for the teachers. Either technology has regressed or those kids were super geniuses because I don't know of any computer today that can accomplish those tasks. Does misinformation and misrepresentation count as educational programming. No wonder that generation of kids is so self-entitled - they've been taught that technology will perform every menial task for you with very little effort on your part.

No offense, but you're a little self-entitled yourself aren't you? I grew up with this show and it taught me so much about science. This is a young kid's edutainment show. It presents far-out concepts in order to really teach kids about real science. The computer thing you saw is probably a fluke or the result of them having a magic school bus next door.

I really wish you wouldn't come on here to complain about the show. Sure as an adult, of course it's ridiculous, but why are you being so hard on it? It has great music, cool atmosphere, and is made with great intentions. Instead of being so hard on it, try to find something you do like about it, because I guarantee you this: if you have a negative attitude about it while your daughter is watching, she will pick up on it. As a kid who grew up with a mom who had negative tendencies, kids do notice when Mommy and Daddy aren't enjoying themselves.

You're not entitled to like the show but at least try to find something positive about the fact that your daughter is watching something educational. She could do so much worse.
