What happened??

I've been watching Madison reruns on the Diva channel lately, and I'm getting into the show. Usually, the episodes are aired in order, but I don't know what happened this week. One day, everything was going along normally. At the end of the one episode, Jamie was in his bed, and his father's g/f came in, and it hinted that they slept together. The next day, suddenly Jamie has long hair, Sheri and someone else (I think it may have been Rachael...) are talking about university classes, and RJ is dead! So, did they miss some episodes there, or was that how it was originally aired?? I'm confused!
