Poor reception?

Why! Oh, why, did they have to butcher the series in such a manner?! Why wasn't book 3 made in 1987? Was public reception on Book 2 poor? Considering Books 1 and 2 were released in 1985 and 1986, I wish I could travel back in time and get them to release book 3 in 1987... maybe then they would've kept the same cast and crew and would've managed to obtain the same magic of 1 and 2.

This is just annoying me... it's not like they can remake part 3 with the same actors now and I don't want them to remake the whole series again with a new cast, since I've grown to love the old cast.

I agree, I agree.

Oh well, people would have still been upset with Book 3, since there was no Cooper Main in the other books, and Orry and Constance are murdered.. especially since there was no Patrick Swayze, people were mad.

Cooper Main was in the first two books; he was the older of the two Main sons. I saw no sense at all in introducing him in the third movie, since he wasn't in the first two.

The third book only came out in '87. The earliest they could possibly bring it out would have been 1988. But probably by then all the actors had moved on to other projects.
