READ THIS!!!! AND BE HONEST.

O.k. who actually made the Ghostwriter pen/necklace?

I made a homemade version of it. I dragged my mom to an office supply store, bought a blue pen, and hooked that onto a blue rope/string thing and wore it religiously.
I also had the composition pad, wrote down everything they did, and tried to solve the case with my niece before they revealed who it was on part 4.

How old is everyone now, who watched the show? And if the show was on now, would break out the pen/necklace and pad?

I'm 26 now, and I wish I had the opportunity to break my ghostwriter gear out.

Ghostwriter, WORD!

I did the same thing and thought I was so cool! LMAO!

We were shown this at school when I was 9 or so (I'm 23 now), and our teacher made us make the pads and pens, and write everything down. She turned it into a class project or competition or something, she even asked questions at the end of each episode. I can certainly remember it was one fo the few shows every 9 year old in that room was riveted too!!

looking back, the teacher was either thrilled she had found something we all liked, or she secretly loved it herself. I don't even know where she got it, I live in Scotland so we didn't have the American TV channels.

I haven't even seen it since, and the only bit I can remember is a meeting of some kind where one kid has to say a name, but the name belongs to the kid behind him.

I had a Ghostwriter pen, too...I don't think I ever solved a mystery, though.

I'm 23 now.
When I was in middle school we had just started getting computers so I used to type to him, and I had a necklace/pen and when I would write stuff down I would write it really neat and slow just like they did lol...you ever notice that the typing sounds never matched up with what they were typing on the screen?

My friends all thought I was a freak for writing to him...I used to draw him all over my notebooks and make the little scratchy sound he made LMAO

I was beyond obsessed with Ghostwriter...I wish it still came on ch.9

yeah, me and my sisters made pens. i'd always be ghostwriter and slip messages under the door LOL we were such nerds...

I too had a Ghostwriter pen. It wasn't just a regular blue pen. Its' exterior was made of some kind of metal. (It wasn't heavy or anything.) It was silver and it came on a silver chain. I thought I was so cool. And every time I see a pen on a necklace I think of Ghostwriter.

I'm 19 now...and I mean EVERYTIME I see a pen on a necklace I think of the 'ol team.

reply

I made one just like it! I would write Rally I knowingthat no one would be able to see it, but I still thought that it was fun! I'm now 21!

reply

I used to have so many, and I would continue to wear one even long after the series ended. People looked at me all weird haha.

I do remember making a casebook one time. It was really just a spiral notebook.

But yeah, I used to watch that show religiously, and I used to secretly hope that maybe, just maybe, there really was a ghost like Ghostwriter that would come and write to me and be my secret friend.

I am 26 years old.
I never made a Ghostwriter pen, but I did try and keep a casebook!

I so had the necklace pen and carried around a composition book everywhere hoping to solve a mystery. I also tried to solve the mystery on the show. I watched it religously.

I'm 18 now, and I still have a particular fondness for composition books and I carry around a necklace pen still (it comes in handy when I do investigative reporting for my college newspaper). Man, those were the days.

I used to do the same thing. I am 24 now but I remember solving the show's case and even solved a case at my school. I still have a composition book with a pen. I have used it though. I also have a few books, a board game of ghostwriter!

I was in this phase where I told people I used to see Ghostwriter because I was really a believer and I used to talk to him. LOL wow. I was like 12!

reply

Yah, I made a pen necklace with some string. Great show wish it was out on DVD! I'm 22 now. It was my favorite show on PBS.

reply

I made a casebook and a necklace. Oh I'm 24. I first watched the show in 1993.
