Frank episode

Not understanding why the tam is helping to solve a case that has already been solved. I get GW goes back in time, but how does that stop the case from being solved

From what remember (I haven't seen it in years.) Jamal's grandfather (or was it his father ? ) was having heart problems. We find out later, Frank is the doctor who performed the operation. Had they not helped Frank prove he was innocent, he would've died.

We also find out Catherine and Frank got married. I also think her family adopted him.

*Edit* Watched it on YT* And it was Jamal's dad that had the heart problems.

I know it's an old post but, yes the team had to help Frank prove he was innocent so he could became a doctor when he grew up. Apparently, Jamal's dad had heart problem's when he was a little boy and it was Frank who saved him. (I guess Frank was the only doctor in the city at the time) If Frank was proven guilty he would have not become a doctor so therefore Jamal's dad would have died which meant no Jamal, no Ghostwriter team in the future.

My question is, if Ghostwriter hadn't traveled back in time (in current day), would Jamal suddenly vanish out of the blue? That's why stories with time travel don't make sense, especially if there's a back and forth between the present and the past.

reply

Frank had to have saved jamal's dad because he was the only doctor willing to do heart surgery on such a small child
