Your Top Three Favourite sketches and your Worst Sketches?

My top 3 faves

1. Ted and Ralph - the best duo ever, i liked little britain and the like until i came across Ted and Ralph, absolute genius and nothing produced comedy wise in the last few years even compares! In a subtle look Whitehouse and Higson convey so much!
2. Arthur Atkinson - just love Whitehouse as Arthur - he is just brilliant and the stupid random comments are just superb!
3. Unlucky Alf - so simple but so funny!!! love this one

Honorbable mentions - Brilliant Kid, Competitive Dad, Ron Manager, I'll Get Me Coat etc

My 3 worst
1.Bob Fleming - Dont get this and i love Higson but i just never got this one
2.Professor Denzil Dexter - again did not find this funny
3.Dave Angel, Eco-Warrior - just found this one boring

Do you agree? What are yours??

Work is the curse of the drinking classes...

I like all 3 of your worst ones. Its hard to pick the best but i'd have to say.

Johnny nice painter - just hands down hilarious, one of the funniest things i have ever seen. "my wardrobe is full of death"

Rowley Birkin - his random lines of sense are gold.

Jack pot and tom bola - Only in it twice but so random it makes me laugh every time i watch them.

Honorable mentions: fat sweaty coppers, unlucky alf, "you aint seen me", the competetive dad

Worst 3

Arthur Atkinson - i hated his stand up routine because it was the same everytime, his fictional shows like "how queer" and the one during the war were ok but other than that he was just boring.

The rude perfume saleswoman - i get it, i just dont find it that funny

Brilliant kid - i dont actually have any dislike for this character, but i dont realy find him funny

"Hello? I just shot somebody, i did it on purpose!"

My best characters/sketches are Unlucky Alf, Chanel 9 (especially Scorchio!), and my fave is Brilliant. "Aren't airports brilliant? Planes brilliant. Runways fantastic. Control towers bestest towers in the world."

Also loved the sketch with the religious policemen when the woman went to report her stolen dog. "It was stolen in the park." "Was it the park near the church?" "No." "Ah but you can see the church from the park." "We caught the culprit. But we forgave him and let him go." This sketch has me in hysterics everytime.

Can't watch Bob Fleming as people coughing like that make me wanna be sick!

I'm currently re-watching this and now they are...

3 best.

1. Ted and Ralph - I never enjoyed this one as a kid but appreciate it much more now. I never really got it then I think. It's a slow mover for a show based around quick rapid sketches but pays off.
2. Unlucky Alf - Everything about this character worked for me and the timing was excellent.
3. Suit You Tailors - Another that I like more now than then.
Honorable mentions to Arthur Atkinson (and Chester Drawers), Colin Hunt, I'll get me coat, the 'black' painter, Brilliant Kid (and Rubbish Dad) and the Isle of Man bits (very random), 'fancy a pint', the Jesus Christ bits and some one off sketches such as 'whore leave' and the trailer for the Scottish film where some people come across some heroin.

Worst.

Bob Fleming - Though the one with the country song compilation ad was hilarious I thought.
Channel 9 - It had its moments but always dragged on for me. I liked the cartoon in series 3 though.
Ron Manager - Meh.

reply

1. Ted and Ralph
2. Brilliant!
3. The Channel Nine News

Worst:

Arthur Atkinson -- Terrible and unfunny.

They are all funny except Arthur Atkinson.

"You're not my daddy."
"What a clever little boy it is. Or thinks it is.

There are so many great sketches it's hard to choose three favourites. Right now I'd have to choose these, in no particular order:

Suits you sir! "Will you be giving her a seeing to sir?"
Ron Manager "Jumpers for goalposts"
Brilliant Kid "Aren't horses fantastic? What they are is like really old-fashioned cars, except they ain't got no windscreen wipers."

Runners up: Channel 9, Indecisive Dave, Monkfish

Three worse:

Arthur Atkinson - Tommy Cockles is occasionally funny, but I've never got the humour in Arthur Atkinson.
Bob Flemming - Funny in parts, but also makes me want to cough.
Very drunk - Occasionally funny, but loses its appeal after multiple viewings.

I thought I could oooooorganise freedom
hoooooooow Scandinavian of meeee ...

"Tommy Cockles is occasionally funny, but I've never got the humour in Arthur Atkinson."

Eh, well, it's supposed to be a parody of Arthur Askey. I personally didn't find it funny myself, but I find myself saying "where's me washboard?" sometimes. Heh. After watching Deryck Guyler play the washboard on the Morecambe & Wise show it has become a lifelong dream of mine to have one.
