Many political episodes

I've been rewatching ER lately and I've noticed they often take a stance on a contested issue to put it in the spotlight. Congo warfare issue, overprice medicine, lack of funding for medical facilities, pro for organ donation. I suppose it is a good platform for people to learn the issues, but just feel sometimes the issues are being forced on us. Thoughts?
