With Wendy Crewson I guess it would depend on what you consider fame. She's been on my radar since "Home Fires" in the early 80s. I just saw her in "Pigeon" and she was great!

Well, I guess I was assuming that "famous" for the OP meant in the states. Her bigger roles were pretty much in Canada before DS, which would be enough to be considered "famous" as far as I'm concerned, but would not mean much to most Americans.

Also, before people start jumping all over what I'm saying, lol, I've lived in both countries so I know what I've observed. Granted, most of my time in the states has been in the south, where they really don't know much about Canadians; I suppose that in the northern, bordering states, Canadian actors would be more familiar to Americans.

Btw, I think Wendy Crewson is great! Loved her in Getting Married in Buffalo Jump and it was neat to see her again in DS!

I was actually an extra in one episode of Due South. It was pretty cool.

Hey, Rae_Artemis. It appears that we enjoy watching a few of the same shows:) I know you from the Supernatural board (and obviously, like me, you're a Firefly/Serenity fan, going by your signature). Nice to see a semi-familiar face/name here, since I haven't posted on this board before.

Due South Season 1 only recently became available on dvd here in Australia. I started watching the episodes as soon as I bought it. I'd checked out this board and *this* specific thread first, however, since the topic had intrigued me. So because of that, I knew these now-famous stars would be appearing in the eps. I only just watched the eps with Mark Ruffalo and Ryan Phillipe in them. I'm looking forward to seeing Amanda Tapping in whatever ep she's in.

I haven't watched this show since it originally aired here in Australia (which was quite a long time ago). It's almost like watching the show for the first time in some ways. I love this show. I'm relieved that I can watch it now whenever.

Christina Cox (Free Willie, Vault) - and then she became a regular on F/X: The Series. Well, she's still not that famous now, but I notice her.

Nicholas Campbell (An Invitation to Romance) - he was in a lot of things before, but after Due South he became the lead in Da Vinci's Inquest.

Matthew Bennett (The Edge, Easy Money) - he got a regular role on Cold Squad, and people might know him from Battlestar Galactica.
