Francesca, Love or Hate?

Well I know this is random, but who likes Francesca, who can say that 'she's their favourite character'......

No one.At least I don't think so,

From the moment I saw her, I had this grudge against her, my eye would twitch...and I would think get off the screen, I know she is probably a nice person in real life, and her character is friendly and sometimes likeable, but there was an irratation at the back of my mind.

She isn't my favourite character...actually I have two, can you guess that its Fraser and ray? But honestly I think Franny is brilliant, whenever she was in an episode it always made for good viewing. Now one of MY least favourite characters was Inspector Thatcher, I never really warmed to her.

Anyone else?

Who... are you?
A friend.

I didn't like her much in the beginning, but then she grew on me. I think she adds to some of the episodes with some humour.

reply

I like her in the later seasons

I adore Francesca, especially in the early episodes where she was so wonderfully brash and annoying! I also love Ray V for the same reasons.

I like Thatcher in the beginning although you could easily see where they were going with it...

I prefer Margaret Thatcher....I know she's strict but she's the superior officer! You can't expect for her to be all nice and handing out sandwiches and sweets and stuff.

I liked her relationship with Fraser, she was especially strict with him 'cause she had a crush on him.

Who wouldn't?

Was today really necessary?

Haha yeah Franny was definitely a good minor character. Added some humor and some more depth to Ray. I thought she was a little nutso for going so aggessively to poor and dare I say, shy Fraser! But hey, we all know we would do the same wouldn't we? ;) As for Ms. Thatcher... yeah it's hard to like her and I'm not sure if I'd put her with Fraser or not. But well, as it goes I guess it works out! You could definitely definitely tell she liked him. That was blaringly obvious, and increasingly obvious to Fraser as well. I just liked to see her get all flabbergasted around him. She'd stutter and avoid his eyes just like a school-girl! And Fraser, half-pretending not to notice... lol
Ok so that was slightly OT but that's my half of it!

She's not my favorite (Fraser and the Rays are), but I like her. She added humor in the beginning episodes, and she kept growing on me from there. I find it a little hard to watch her in the later seasons - sometimes instead of being amused by her, I get embarrassed. Still like her though.

I've twice seen Ramona Milano not as Francesca, in an Air Miles commercial and the Southbound documentary, and she seems like a really nice person. I thought she was even better looking in the commercial than she was in her appearances on Due South. On Southbound, she does a great impression of Marge Simpson :)

I love Frannie. There's a woman who knows what she wants, and goes for it!

She certainly does!

I only love one person from this show and guess who? doh, actually 2 but the other isn't human. ^o~

Franny is funny in a irriating sort of way. She is so over reacting, she reminds me of Fran from The Nanny. If there's a woman in real life that acts the way she does, it can be very scary.

Very rare to have a show where I don't have a strong dislike to any character.

Definitely love her! By the way, Ramona Milano is now 42 and looking lovelier than ever in the Rogers commercials :)
