This have been bugging me, Duckmans dad.

Its a funny ironic allusion that they act as fire men when they burn books including Fahrenheit 451, but why would they do that?

I would think that books message would appeal to the survivalist that duckman dad is.

Altough i must admit i havent read the book, but know what its about.

its a long time since i read the book (Ray Bradbury I beleive) but I saw a (?)1970s or maybe 1960s film version.[EDIT:1966] In the future, books were banned and firemen (well, dressed like firemen) drove around in fire engines finding stashes of the contraband items and setting fire to them. Incidentally, the title 'Fahrenheit 451' comes from the temperature[EDIT:degrees Fahrenheit] at which paper spontaneously combusts.

Hope this helps !
