Is there an English version of this movie anywhere?

I was hoping that I might be able to find an English version. I know that it has subtitles but I was hoping someone might know if there is an English one I can buy anywhere?

Hi,

I have the English version on DVD (TV movie transferred from tape), it has Dutch subtitles though.

Do you know of where I might be able to get an English copy or would you be interested in selling the one that you have by chance?

I don't know where you can buy the English version (English title is The dragon ring, maybe that helps). It appeared on tv in Holland once, I taped it and had it transfered to DVD later.
Sorry, it's one of those childhood movies (like the Fantaghiro series) I grew up with and I want my two daughters to experience the same magic. So I'm not selling it.

dutchgirl41 Hello from my reading i understood that u have a copy of the movie and I would realy want to have it!!! Can u somehow upload it on the internet or will I be able to get a copy ? Please write to me ASAP!!!

I REALLY love the movie, i watched it when I was 8 years old.

I've got the first 4 (part 1-8) Fantaghiro movies on dvd. They are with English audio en Dutch subs.

I saw this as a mini-series back in the day on South African pay-channel M-Net with an English soundtrack, THE DRAGON RING. For the past seven years been struggling to get it on DVD. Searching under that name drew a blank. On Wikipedia learnt its Italian name, DESIDERIA L'ANELLO DEL DRAGO and armed with that info, downloaded it in parts that did not add up to a 3 hour whole, so as a last resort e-mailed the Italian title to a guy at local importers Takealot and did not expect anything to come of it, but he found me a German dub, DER RING DES DRACHEN - which I've staunchly held back, until now. Watched the first episode, in a language I can follow only here and there.
I live in South Africa. I'd pay for an English copy. I am honest but distrust others. Due to my searches I deal regularly with opportunistic greedy chancers who I'm sure would receive the money with a grin, and Game Over!

So, sadly, I'll not get any further with this. But due to UNHAPPILY EVER AFTER as German dub Auf Schlimmer und Ewig, and this current adventure, du Lieber Himmel, Donner und Blitzen, guys, I am wallowing around up to my ears in a European language. Crazily educational!

I find it ridiculous that the movie was obviously shot in English (you can see it if you read the lips of the actors while watching the Italian dub), but it's nowhere to be found!
