Adult Swim needs to pick this up.

Pretty self-explanatory. I personally think it'd get pretty good ratings on the channel.

The original show, especially the superior ABC version, hasn't dated... indeed, some of the jokes seem more relevant (and thus funnier) now than they had when the show first aired in 1994! o.o

I was thinking the same thing. This show was Family Guy before Family Guy (in terms of randomness), and way better. Sadly, it has been forgotten by many.

yup I sure do agree. Or Comedy Central could pick it up. I remember when my dad used to like watching this show back in the 1994, The Critic was so much better than Family Guy.

The show has now been cancelled three times, so I think Jon Lovitz considers this to be a dead project. It would just be another roll of the dice to try to revive his ideas.

Understand that when a show is cancelled, an entire team of cast and crew get fired and have to look for new jobs, so it's not easy to attempt at making a show successful only to have it fail after a season.
