I loved Christy when I was young and my mom bought me the series on VHS back in the day. I used to watch them over and over again, but I hadn't seen it in ages until I found the Complete Series DVD set. Now, call me crazy, but I vaguely remember an episode where Christy was blind for some reason and at the end she got her vision back. It wasn't on the DVD set, so did I just make it up? I'll admit to having an over-active imagination, but I can see the scene where she can see again in my head.

Yeah, I must be nuts. Guess I better dig out the old tapes to make sure.

It could be one of the movies they made. But I don't know since I haven't seen those. I think they made 3 tv movies.

There is one episode where Becky (I think that was her name) gets some eye surgery/treatment from Dr. MacNiel. That might be what you are thinking of. But really I dont know. I cant remember ever seeing one with Christy having an eye problem but that doesnt mean that there wasnt.

I'm 99% percent sure that in the series, Christy was never blind. Now it was Becky who had eye treatment form Doc. I have no idea about the 3 movies, only the series.

There was a series of children's books adapted from the novel,

is one of them. One of the books in this series has a story line like what you describe, maybe you read it there?

Christy was never blind. The Doctor's aunt was in several episodes, she is blind, and the little girl that the doctor treated.

That wasn't in a TV Episode however it was in one of the miniseries books - I just got the series because I read them when I was younger and wanted them because they are now out of print.

The book is called "The Proposal" it is #5 in the series. It is very good. Check out eBay or Amazon for this book and the others
