EPISODE HELP...PLEASE...it' s driving me CRAZY!!

OK...I thought the episode I'm thinking of was Humpty Dumpty, but after reading the synopsis of that I'm wrong.

There was an episode about a construction worker (I think) who fell off some scaffolding and was injured so severely they thought he was brain dead. Christine Lahti's character was about to operate to retrieve his heart as a donor, and they realized while he was on the table that he had normal brain function.

It turned out he had been injured so severely he was completely paralyzed and the only thing he could move were his eyes. I believe it was Locked-In Syndrome, or a very badly broken neck. Anywho...I remember they asked him if he wanted to be kept alive, and he blinked yes. Lahti was pissed because she wanted his heart for her patient.

It was very sad, he was very young. I recall a nurse asking him to blink if he wanted her to stay with him. It was very touching....can anyone PLEASE tell me what the episode was and what exactly happened to the paralyzed man?? It's been driving me crazy!!!

I won't be much help because I honestly can't remember the name of the that episode but I know I have seen it. Hopefully someone else can help you out.

I think have the episode on TIVO. Also 36 others saved until the whole series comes out on DVD. When I get a chance I will try to figure out which one it is and re-post.

What exactly happened?? Was the guy a construction worker who fell?? Was he paralyzed or did her have locked in syndrome??

The episode humpty dumpty as about when there doctor joe cacahi jumped from the roof of the hospital he jumped after smoking a drag the show aired 10-21-99 it was ep 5 of season 6

the episode u are talking about is Humpty Dumpty. And it was not no construction worker it was a docotr.
