The legal issues

Its been a long time since watching the first season. I remember this series from its original run, but on second view, the case on case snowballing of patient ailments has had me rolling on the floor laughing. And I am only up to S01E11.

Let me guess...that was the one with Jeremy Piven where he goes into the hospital for a boner that won't go down and ends up undergoing brain surgery? And then ends up in a coma because of a mistake of the two doctors who were boffing each other before surgery?

That was one of my favorites.

The legal issue I would expect is a lawsuit by the African-American accident victim at the very beginning of that episode ("Love & Hope," S1 Ep10) who has an apparent broken neck & is blown off in favor of the white guy with priapism. The nurse calls the doc away just as he is checking the pupils of the broken-neck guy, & the b-n guy is apparently completely forgotten, lying there immobile & immobilized in a dark, curtained off corner.

I'll confess I didn't watch the rest of the episode, the beginning was so idiotic. I didn't catch the series when it was televised, even though I love Mandy Patinkin. I've been catching up slowly on various free online services & the opening part of this episode is annoying enough to cause me to maybe forego the rest of the series no matter now much I like MP.
