I was interested in this remark in the 10th innings.

If the batting side is the attacking side because the most number of runs wins the game and the side in the field is in defense because it is trying to avoid runs being scored, then the same could be said of Cricket.

Perhaps the narrator left the word 'American' out before the word 'sport'?
