The music is godawful!!!

I think so much of the movie is marred by that hideous music score that comes in at the most inappropriate times and sounds like something you'd hear in "Dora the Explorer." I would've rather the movie have NO music rather than the soundtrack that it had!!! The scenery was great! The movie was thought provoking...... the editing was way bizarre.... I wish somebody could've stepped in, watched this movie, said, "Hey... we've invested money to make a great movie and this is a pile of crap! Let's change the music and re-edit it so it's not so choppy!" But NO!

I actually only watched it for Naomi Watts. She has a 20 second scene then she's gone. It wasn't worth it.

The movie was alright and I do agree with you, the scenery was great but the film had too much sex (of course it was going to be expected though), but still the reason I watched it was for Nathaniel Parker, too see him in this kind of role was kinda shocking at first, since this is one of the rare few of his where it's erotic.

I "listen" to this film all the time; have been searching for the soundtrack which I can't seem to find anywhere. It's incredibly authentic and appropriate for the time, the vision, the landscape with all the creatures of the earth brought into being by the emotional cadence and power of the spirits of love and hate.
