movie set in Houston? I don't think so...

Except for showing a map of Houston... and a Houston Chronicle in one shot and a Houston Post in another... Oh well. I randomly pulled a vhs tape of this out and watched it last nite. it was "OK".. Ron Perlman was mighty creepy.. I agree with lots that is said in this board for this movie. But... what was it??? Two Rivers? Have lived in Houston for over 30 years. Never heard of it. Nearest psychiatric hospital... where? There is one in Houston.. but that town they mentioned.. never heard of it.

There could very well be some older houses with basements in Houston, there certainly are some very old neighborhoods. It would have been cool if they could have TRIED to show some of Houston, but most likely filmed elsewhere. Oh well.

You are right! Twin Rivers and the park names were fictitious. The sewers were LA and not Houston sewers. The map was the only thing related to Houston
I see no reason why Houston was the location when it was all filmed in and around LA. Martin Sheen's drawl was too exaggerated, too.
The movie was good but anyone familiar with Houston and its landmarks would be very disappointed.
