This is the kind of movie that I love Johnny in the best. "Straight" roles. Yes, he's good at all his character roles he plays, but I'm not too into those kinds of movies (although Edward Scissorhands and Benny & Joon are favorites of mine). But I'd much rather see him in things like Donnie Brasco, Blow, and even A Nightmare on Elm Street.
As far as Leonardo.... that boy should have won an Oscar!!!!

shareI couldn't agree more with both of you. I love this movie and I think the cast was wonderful in it. I think you're exactly right about Johnny Depp, he chose so many great roles in his earlier movies. The movies were so eclectic. Dead man is one of my favorites too. This whole Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is so lame. I mean, I know it's a money maker, but, my God, how much money do you need? I saw the first one. It was mediocre. I admit I haven't seen any of the others so I can't really judge, but hasn't it all been done already? Why do people go see this stuff? I guess it's all the graphics. I prefer a good story. Sorry, that sounds cranky. I miss him though as an actor, not as a prop in the latest CGI extravaganza.

shareHaha! You make me laugh! My bestie decided to move back home to Oregon so I was visiting her there. My Dinner with Andre is a perfect movie. I loved it. I feel like lots and lots of good movies are being made but I don't even hear about them until they're on Netflix or HBO or somewhere besides a theater. It's a bummer because I love going to the movies. If you've seen something good, please pass it on! I'm rewatching Game of Thrones for like the third time because I'm so desperate for something good. I'm trying to watch House of Cards and that show has really gone south, I can tell you.
