Leo confirmed that Arnie was retarded not autistic
In a video interview while he was on set filming “The Quick and the Dead” Leo talked about What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and he said “I play Arnie who is Johnny Depp’s mentally retarded brother…” and when the interviewer asked “Austistic?” Leo said “No, mentally retarded”. I brought that up because there have been debates on the What’s Eating Gilbert Grape message board as to whether Arnie was autistic or retarded, so since Leo officially confirmed it I just figured it was worth sharing.
