So why did Taku get punched and slapped?


All he did was praise Rikako on how she handled the situation.

Rikako was shocked at Taku hiding the whole time - she had expected him to come to her rescue like he had done a million times before, while Yutaka was furious at the fact that Taku would just leave Rikako to fend for herself (keep in mind that Y&T both like Rikako).

Women? One day they want you to save them and the next they're going on about women's lib. So helping out someone means you have to help them every single time? It was ridiculous they were violent with him.

She was frustrated at how he was being a zero to her, just out of respect for his friend.

The friend was frustrated because he realized he was the reason Taku was holding back on her.
