Mom and Dad look like Mulder and Scully

Did anyone else notice that the parents of Gus and Rosie totally resemble (physically) Agents Mulder and Scully from the X-Files?

...or am I just crazy?

reply

For pictures of the parents go here:

http://www.trickfilmstimmen.de/animationsfilme.htm

- then under "1994" at the left side, then pick "A Troll in Central Park".

It's a German website about animated movies worldwide, with a certain focus on the topic German synchronisation.

...I really like the Mulder & Scully comparison! :D Hm, the first X Files episodes were aired (as far as I know) in late summer/ early autumn 1993, the movie came out in 1994 - inspiration or not? But true, the father makes also a good older Dimitri.

In a few weeks the Nostalgia Critic will review the movie. I wonder if he will say something about the parents' looks? XD

If you (you being in general) have ever seen American Pop, the artwork done on the parents looks similar to that director's style.
