Bone Tomahawk

Any Tombstone fans looking forward to watching this film? Comes out Friday:

The trailer looked pretty damn intense. Kurt looks just like he did in Tombstone, except like an older Wyatt Earp. Hadn't heard anything about it until today when I saw the trailer, wow:

I don't know... but we've had cowboys and dinosaurs/cowboys and aliens, so why not cannibalistic cave dwellers? I'll watch just about any Western and love Kurt, so I guess I'll give it a try.

I'm pretry much the same mind as Chloe; its Kurt Russell in a western, I'll at least check it out.

Saw it the other day and Russell delivers an amazing performance. It's quite slow paced but a legit western for the first 90 minutes then explodes into a wild horror movie. Very original and awesome.

Bone Tomahawk is a slow-burner with a pretty nice ending punch. Definitely worth the viewing. Patrick Wilson though is the one to note in that with an honorable mention to Matthew Fox.

I do not have attention deficit disor ... Ooh, look at the bunny!

Well, I watched it and was disappointed. But I loved the whole look of it, from the beautifully lit and authentic interiors to the gorgeous views of the outdoors. Of course, Kurt Russell, wonderfully grizzled, gives an excellent performance as he has never failed to do, even in less than spectacular films. He's a woefully underrated actor.

I'm with you in your disappointment. Such a poorly paced film. Clearly the writer/director didn't want to cut anything out of his script. And the attempt to recreate period dialect was...well, it wasn't Charles Portis. How this is getting so much praise is baffling.

Bone Tomahawk was great.
