DVD $150+

I am trying to find this on DVD for under $150. Have no idea why the "market" has taken off on this film.

Anyone who finds it for less and can post a link....thanks.

DVDs that are out of print without any re-release in sight go through the roof because the sellers are waiting to cash in big on the poor fool who can't live without it. About that time the movie gets re-released for around $9.99. It's a shame.

I have it: [email protected]

Check your libraries. They tend to have the extremely overpriced out of print dvd's. Too bad they took this one off the market, it's worth seeing, but not nearly worth the price for an out of print dvd.

K6pzw,

I know it's almost 3 years later, and you may never see this reply, but if you have never been able to find a DVD, contact me at [email protected] and I will tell you how to get a copy.

It's back ... sort of. Netflix is now renting, both DVD and Instant Play. Yet I cannot find a source to purchase it. I don't know what's going on with that.

If you do Netflix, I'd strongly advise the DVD. My understanding it that it's widescreen, and apparently Netflix hasn't figured out how to do widescreen with Instant Play. Also, the Instant soundtrack had lots of pops and static, which is particularly bad for this film. Even the video stuttered at times, particularly noticeable during the credits but at other times too.

I just really like the fact that unless you go along with the old "Supply and Demand", and lay out the proper cash for a Brand New copy, that all your other 'means' of locating this OOP DVD, are usless, fruitless, and 'juiceless'! I love seeing the old, "I can get it", or, "I know how to locate it", or one of the more ignorant ones like, "Yeah, I just found it at my local Supermarket for $4.99!' And when it's all said and done, you all have empty hands, and ain't found DICK!!! Remember, Pay the going rate, or go to WalMart, or some other Scab dive outlet!!

Don't worry, you'll be aaahhhhhh-eye-ight!!!

reply

WalMart? Gimme a break. I doubt they ever sold this film in any format, and they certainly don't now.

Current prices ... new $290 (Amazon) or $380 (Barnes and Noble), or "only" $65 used (both). Yeah, this is supply and demand ... when there isn't any supply. So wait. Eventually it will be rereleased.

I just watched this movie on Netflix Instant and it was in widescreen.

Good to hear that Netflix has figured out widescreen.

I can't check it out, since Netflix removed the streaming capability from my DVD account ...

Check amazon.com. I think I saw a newly reissued dvd available there for a reasonable price (around $9.99). Good luck!
