Interesting Film

Saw this movie tonight on This TV. This is the first time I had seen it. I thought it was pretty good. There are some talented actors like Ricky Schroder (Silver Spoons) and Paul Gleason (One West Waikiki). I guess I like it partly because of the similarities to another movie I like, Hollywood Knights. Both movies take place in LA, both in 1965, the same DJ was in both playing some of the same tunes, and both featured the closing of a popular drive-in, and both had a kid who was leaving for Viet Nam the next day.
The similarities end there. Knights was a comedy and this one is much more serious.
