finally out on dvd
its on cduniverse.com for $6.39, as well as cdnow.com, but does anyone know if it is widescreen?
shareHmmm, I should go cop this if it's out on DVD then. I fondly remember this movie; I think it came on TV around the time I was 15, and I haven't seen it since. I've been meaning to grab a copy of it, but I didn't wanna buy it on VHS, so I'm happy they put it on DVD instead.
It's kinda interesting, though...I wonder why they suddenly decided to give it the DVD treatment, since it's a 12-year old HBO film?
I hear ya there. I was 15 back then, too, and I thought it was every bit as good as Menace II Society or Boyz N The Hood, but it was East Coast, and West Coast was big back then. I'm getting this one, for SURE. Anyone see Clockers? The whole West Coast being commercial back then was why it wasn't too big, as well.

shareInteresting that in the US this was a TV movie. Over here in the UK, I originally saw this in the cinema/movie theatre back in 1993 and there was even a Q&A session afterwards. My friends and I left once the film ended but looking back now, I wish I'd stayed around for the Q&A.
