yeah didnt they change the story around a bit? at that part way they get captured? :)

no. it's not as good as the book.

sure, it's cheap and played way too goofy, but Ben Elton ruined it by casting himself in the lead role. he stinks!

Elton admitted that he had to rewrite the screenplay by forgetting about the book.

On the DVD, there is an interview with Elton and he explained that the executive producer Michael Waering suggested changing the ending as he felt that the story lacked a jeopardy point. I suppose it does a dramatic ending to the story what with Rachel falling for Sly and CD seeing them - plus, her tragic death. It's an interesting take on the story.
