any comments on 2013 subtitled version?

I keep trying to like this film.
People tell me it is much more impressive in the original language with engllish subtitles

So I bought the 2013 Arrow films edition and am watching it right now.

It is better without the dubbed english soundtrack but I am still not liking it much,it is not epic enough and none of the men are convinced nazis?

Will so somebody tell me what is great about it?
I don't think it is awful,just not great.
