University of Los Angeles. Maybe it wasn't filmed there, but I pretty sure that's where it took place.

University of LA, as indicated by one of the signs, but it was definitely filmed at Cal State Northridge. I recognize all the buildings.

Remember she was her school Valedictorian in South Dakota. She's not going across the country to UCSD or any SDSU.

I always assumed she was going to UCLA. Cal-Berkley would have been the only other appropriate school for her to attend.
