Ralph?

So during their first sleep-over, Harriet screams: "Ralph! I will. I will. Oh wait. Not now. Not now. Ralph! Ralph! (moaning) Ralph!" Then 'Ralph' turns out to be her female friend. So what exactly is she referring to when she's screaming and moaning about Ralph in her sleep? Or is the Ralph in question her dead ex-husband Ralph Elliot? Because either way it's kind of awkward to be moaning like that when you're sleeping with your new boyfriend.

Her female friend Ralph was probably not really named Ralph. She didn't want Charlie to know about her exes. She was screaming Ralph's name in her sleep because she was having a nightmare about her ex leaving her.

It's one of those days...

I think she was having a nightmare about when her sister killed her ex husband Ralph. I think she played it off as a female friend so he wasn't suspicious.

I honestly think both people were named Ralph. Remember she did not know Ralph left her so how she would've hidden that from Charlie is odd. Unless of course like you said, she didn't want him to know about her exes.

I'm sure it was about her ex husband who "left her" (in her mind) It's not like she can help what she dreams. Then she covered it by saying it was her friend Ralph. Who she coincidentally honestly has.
