I'll save you from wasting your time (spoil)

The Tom Berenger guy was the killer and the Billy Baldwin guy just spied on everyone in the building via hidden cameras in his secret room full of tv monitors whilst jacking himself off. He's a lame pervert and not the killer, but needs to get a life. That's it. Oh and Billy Baldwin tries to look suave by doing the small mouth squinty eyes thing several times. Jeez, what a horrible bitter-tasting neurotic early 90's movie.

Not in the version I have on DVD.

You got the "volcano" ending then. Still a crappy movie with no redemption.

I actually kinda like the film (with the theatrically released ending).

No masterpiece, to be sure, but still a fun ride, to me anyway.

That 'volcano' ending, however? Beyond bad. Don't know what they were thinking but can understand why it was scrapped. Too bad the footage of it (in decent quality) hasn't been officially released, though - would make a nice 'extra' on DVD or Blu-ray.

In the novel Jack was completely innocent. Zeke (Pete in the book) was trying to set it up to look as though Jack had killed Carly (Kay in the book) and then himself.
Jack ended up saving Carly's life, while Zeke, who had kidnapped and threatened to kill Carly's cat, ended up blinded by said cat.

Beautiful irony because it meant the guy who liked to peep could no longer see.

And Vida was actually a transexual, so nobody went to bed with her. Nobody killed her either.

Love is never having to say you're sober.
